Director of The Heather Trust, Katrina Candy and illustrator Lynsay Hay (www.facebook.com/lynsayhay/), have been kind enough to donate a piece of original artwork from their children's book, 'Captain Partridge and the Farm Monsters' Feast', together with a signed copy of the book.
 
This original, unframed artwork is the illustration for the front cover of the book, created in watercolour and mixed media on watercolour board and measuring approximately 76x50cm. This is a very collectible, unique and real money-can't-buy Lot!

This is the third book that Katrina has written for charity to help bridge the education gap between children, conservation and the countryside by creating engaging adventure stories.

"Born in 1978 in South west Scotland, Flora Blackett trained for 4 years at the prestigious Charles H Cecil studio in Florence, Italy.

As well as portraits, she is a renowned wildlife artist. Dividing her time between her studios in London and her native Dumfriessire she works on both commissions and her own inspired paintings and drawings. With trips throughout the UK, Europe, America and Africa, Flora continuously searches for exciting new subjects. She captures at first hand, the animals in their surroundings and strives to depict both the immediacy and serenity in every scene.
Flora has had many highly acclaimed exhibitions throughout the UK and America.

In 2014 Flora combined her love of art and interiors to launch Flora Blackett designs.

A large photographic print of a hen harrier. Hunting Harrier by Marc Slootmaekers was "highly commended" in an Natural History Museum annual wildlife photography competition, from where it was originally purchased by the donor.

The image is printed on high quality photo paper, glazed. It is framed & very striking measuring 63cm deep by 83cm wide and should appeal to anyone who loves the uplands or British birds.

It would be a lovely addition to an office or shoot room.
